Llangollen Hostel is 1.5 miles from the  Offa's Dyke Path - a 177 mile National Trail along the border between England and Wales. The hostel is the perfect place for Offa's Dyke accommodation in Llangollen, with its easy access to the path and to the pubs and restaurants of Llangollen. If you need to be picked up or dropped off on the trail then give us a call, as one of the staff may well be able to do this for you. Also, we do offer luggage transfer service at a better rate than the local taxi service.

We have a drying room if you get caught in the rain, as well as a relaxing lounge with log burning stove, book exchange, and games to while away the evening. The clean and comfortable beds in dorm rooms, or private en-suite rooms, are just the ticket after a long day's walk.

There are many beautiful walks in and around Llangollen, whether you want to stomp up to the top of the hill to see Castell Dinas Bran, walk around the ridge looking down on Llangollen, or if you simply fancy a flatter walk along the Llangollen Canal to Horseshoe Falls, or the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct - a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Llandegla Forest also has walking trails in addition to its famous mountain bike trails.

With plenty of walks to suit all ages and abilities, Llangollen and the surrounding area is a perfect place to have a walking holiday. Walkers are made to feel very welcome at Llangollen Hostel - ramblers who stay with us frequently say that we're the best place they've stayed on their trip. We're also part of the Walkers Welcome grading scheme. Our helpful and friendly staff are always happy to suggest suitable walks for guests to the hotel, especially if you want a route with a tea room or café along the way!
