Occupying a prominent hilltop site, high above the town of Llangollen, is the spectacular Castle of Dinas Brân.
The ruins visible today are of a castle probably built by a Welsh Prince sometime in the 1260s, although there had been various wooden hill forts and settlements on the site previously.
The walk to the top from Llangollen is certainly worth it for the stunning views.
