Don’t forget to visit the nearby Pontcysyllte Aqueduct – the longest and highest aqueduct in Britain. It was built by Thomas Telford, and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was completed in 1805 and is a Grade I listed building. You can also get there via the canal itself. There’s also a thriving community of otters there.
